I spotted this tiny squirrel while I was hiking near home a few weeks ago.

Toshi, that a great composition. I love the balance of the bolt one one side and the Chipmunk on the other. The background is perfect too. That is a great shot. Nicely done.

Thank you so much, flutelady and smac. The little guy was quite co-operative and let me get a couple of shots of him before he scampered away. He was very small, no more than5 or6 inches long, so I'm surprised I saw him at all.

nice shot. i like the bolt because it gives a size perspective on how small this little chipmunk is.

Thank you , fishguy and royce10. Luckily, the lighting was perfect that day, giving the background a bit of emphasis.Itmade these shots turn out much better than I thought they would. :-)

Nice shots. The Least Chipmunk is difficult to photograph because of their size and energy!
