Odd coincidence. A couple of days ago I found myself nose to beak with one of these tiny birds in my yard - naturally without my camera in hand. It left and never returned. One of life's many missed opportunities.

Nice photos - these birds are only 4 inches long, within the size range of hummingbirds.
