I've been trying to get this guy for some time. When I first set up the light was good but he made me wait so long the sun had moved to the left side plus I was about cramped when he did show. I'll try again another day.

Yeah, that's what you need to do, Ron. Try it again.

Man!! These are great!! No matter the conditions, you nailed her good. Colors, detail, and exposure are super.

I thought I finally got a couple of nice ones the other day.They're not so good though after looking at these.

Thanks penolta. I knew he was a she because I've been chasing her around for so long! Just had one of those brain things when I was typing. :?

Thanks folks for looking and takingthe time toleave a comment. Exposure on this bird is giving me a problem. If I expose light enough to get the details in the dark feathers I end up with some hot spots on her neck. I'll keep trying!

more amazing shots. so did you have a hide? i'm curious how long you had to wait to get these shots? persistance pays off big time! nice work.
