bummer. no wonder my bif pics don't come out!

i guess that means i will have to wait until they make the dslr i want. i might try to use my *ist ds . . . the camera i am using now is way too noisy at the iso 400 max altho' it does have a 1/2000 shutter speed.

do you use a tripod or hand held? what is your camera?

I'm glad you'all liked the photos - it was fun being thereshooting away s the ducks came in.

My camera is a Nikon D80 and there is a good review of it here:

My lens is a Nikon 70-200mm with VR (vibration reduction) and it looks like this:

I alsous a Nikon 1.7X extender between the camera and the lens to give me a total zoom of 340mm (510mm in 35mm equivalency). With this setup, I can shoot handheld most of the time. I move about quite a bit so I shoot morehandheld than tripod. For BIF, it has to be handheld. Cheers, Dan
