I haven't done much shooting lately. Here are some left overs from previous outings.

1) Eared grebe - I shot this little guy off the footbridge at Bolsa Chica. I couldn't get as low as I would have liked.

2) A couple more California Brown Pelicans.

3)

4) Chipping sparrow

5) Red Shouldered hawk in the distance.

6) Red shouldered hawk shot under bad light.

7) Northern Shoveler.

8) I got out too late on this day to the wildlife sanctuary. Not enough light to shoot the birds, so I put on my wide angle to capture the sun setting over the sanctuary. I don't do much landscape shots because I use to only have a 50mm and 400mm lens. But recently I bought a tamron 17-50mm f2.8 for holiday family shooting.

Thanks for looking.

Nice shooting Hung. The pelicans are awesome. Great detail. Looks like they let you get pretty close. I can appreciate the Hawk shots. The light on the last one is what we have most of the time up here. Nice and white and bright.:?..cheers...Don

Nice shooting Hung, I guess the next time I am out there I will have to visit Bolsa Chica to see what I can do.

Great shooting Hung. I agree with Don, those pelican shots are "off the chain" . Keep it going!!!

Your usual good quality shots, Hung. I particularly like #5 (the first of the two juvenile Red-shouldered Hawks) - the composition and background colors are especially pleasing.

Your bird shots are terrific. I think the pelican in flight is just breathtaking. Great job and thanks for sharing.

Your Coopers Hawk was too good to pass up. I did a bit of tweaking.

All great shots, I'm going to have to head over to Bolsa Chica next time we go my parents house.

Hey Bynx,

Interesting processing technique. Did you use adjust shadows/highlights?
