Here are some birds taken at the zoo in Fuengirola, Spain earlier this year. It took me a while to dig up their names.

First is a pair of Bali Starlings. Also known as Bali Mynas. According to my readings, the captive population (zoos, refuges) of these birds outnumbers the native population. So, a truly endangered species, which is a shame.

Next, one of the most peculiar and interesting birds I have ever seen: a Victoria Crowned Pigeon.Bigger than our North American rock pigeons. This is one of two.
