Hi All,

This adult hawk was busy on a rock jetty where he landed with his prey.

The squirrel was caught elsewhere as they don't come around the jetty.

I hesitate to show more explicit images on the web.

I post this to show the amazing ( to me anyway ) detail I got with my D300 and18-200VR lens.

The colors are just as they were in my viewfinder:

Cool photo, I like the shadowy effect and the way your 300 picked up detail and saturation. Definitely a worthy combo
