Right on Norm!! Way to go!! Beautiful birds and wonderful poses.Dan
Thanks Dan, my first photo op with these birds this winter and about 10 minutes after picking up the 30D. I was excited to get a chance at these birds for the first time this winter.

Beautiful photos absolutely beautiful.
Thanks Flutelady, I was somewhat surprised to find this flock and extremely pleased to have a chance at them, especially in the red berry bushes and in the cool weather which sometimes adds a dimension that would otherwise not exist (fluffy breasts and such) :-)

absolutely pleasing to eyes.
Many thanks, sometimes it's difficult focusing on this bird because it is so attractive, and the antics and sound are as drawing as the color and lines of the bird, truly an experience to photograph, imo. Glad you liked the photos and took the time to comment!

Well, Hung, such a generous compliment becomes even more forceful when coming from a person such as yourself who has continuously demonstrated photographic expertise to myself over the years. I appreciate your gesture very much!

Fabulous find Norm!! I love Waxwings. These are I gather the Bohemian variety? We don't see these out here. On the IQ, it just goes to show you it ain't the equipment, it's the operator. These really are beautiful...cheers...Don
Thanks, Don, indeed it's the Bohemian, the Cedars don't like it when it gets as cold as it's been up here lately :-). I found another flock this morning in my own town. Go figure, feast or famine is alive and well. :?. Generosity of comment very much appreciated.

Wonderful series, Norm!
Thanks much, Bob, it was a treat finding this flock. I found another flock in another location, took some photos, then returned to "this" location awhile later and nada. Oh well, that's the fun of finding them. They don't hang around in the same place for long.
