i like #3 the best. here you have 2 clean shots of the birds.

#1 has alot of overlapping silhouttes and there is chromatic abaration. #2 appears a bit oof . #3 looks great. which fstop were you shooting at? if you haven't already, maybe stopping down to f8 will give you more sharpness and dof.

I will do that Hung when I get more sunlight. All of these were at f/5.6 which is wide open for this Vivitar 300mm lens. The CA is a problem with this lens when the subject is so heavily back lit. I'll keep trying! Thanks for the input. It is the reason I post these and the way I learn.
