I love the first shot, great perspective, Kent, and I also am impressed by your shoveller "portrait." You caught that bird perfectly. Should be a few getting up here soon as I'm beginning to see some migration, geese and starlings.

excellent series kent! my favorite is the speed limit shot. i'm sure that law doesn't apply to raptors though. hehe

Hi Will, I was using My D200with a borrowed 300 f2.8 with and withouta 1.4xtc.

Normally I'd use my 300 F4 but a friend was kind enough to lend me his 300F2.8 for these shots. The Hawk on the speed sign was with my D70 and 17-55 f2.8. All the animals in these shots are wild. The Ridgefield wildlife refuge allows you to drive your car through themigration areas but won't allow you to get out. The car makes a great blind which most birds ignore and allows much closer approaches to the animals.
