in addition to the kinglets, my trip to the park this afternoon yielded a relatively rare opportunity... wood ducks! i've seen them sporadically over the past 18 months or so, but never close enough for a decent shot. today there were 3 or 4 males and a female or two congregated not far from one of the viewing platforms, and i was able to get some half-decent shots... not as nice as Hung's from the other day, but as hard as these guys are to get close to, i was pretty pleased...
