great stuff, Don... i'm still envious of how close you seem able to get to these little guys... the 'dees around here are much to skittish to get that close to, and even with a 400mm lens, i can't seem to bring them in as tight as yours...

Thanks Rocky. These shots were with a 1.4 attached except for the last one, and they were shot at a plant nursery that they have at our local wildlife sanctuary. They have a couple of feeders set up in the compound, and the chickadees are coming and going there all the time. Otherwise, I'd probably never get this close, although once in a while, I do get lucky and get pretty near out in the sanctuary...cheers...Don
