using a 70-200mm f4 zoom here paired with a 2x series one converter. trying to get as much length as I can. had to manually focus though

Lovely shots Donna. The 2X converter is quite good. I tried one with my Mark III and 300f/4, and it performed a lot better than I thought. The 2X'er seems to have excellent colour and contrast. I thought it would deteriorate IQ on the slower 300, but was quite surprised with the results....cheers....Don

Goldwinger, I have the 500mm and have used the 2x TC (sigma). With my poorquality manual focus, it works fairly well. pics will be quite a bit softer.
