i am curious as to what the fight was about since the other moorhens in the area came around to gang up on one of the birds.

thanks, all.

it appears that all the food i schlep around the pond has paid off because these guys were only a few feet from me and my presence did not affect them in the least. the lighting could have been less dappled but you can see they were in a stand of grass so there was not much i could do.


now i know why the one moorhen that eats from my fingers has a scarred forehead. they get into it, don't they?
