Well, it's been a while since I've been posting here. Had camera issues. Then had computer issues. Had time issues. Anyway, hopefully it is all better now.

Here is one I took this past weekend. Here in Miami we have monthly Art Walks and I happened to catch this little lady in one of the few open plots of land in the area. I think it is a cute photo, but I am not sure, it might be a little too cliche. Do we need another picture of wildlife mixed with urban decay? Anyway, figured I would share. Oh, also, her mate was nearby, bringing nesting materials. We are pretty sure they were going to build a nest in that tangle of bramble and razor wire.

Thanks Goldwing! I learned later that it is most likely a Baby Loggerhead Shrike. They have an interesting habit of catching grasshoppers and sticking them on the barb wire barbs for later.

Forgot to mention, this was taken with a Canon G9 from about 20 feet, through a chain link fence.
