this bald eagle flew by at the park this morning, on its way to roost in a large fir tree. it was low enough that i was able to get a decent angle and get some nice shots... 40D, 100-400 @ 400mm, 1/1600 @ f/11...

Nice job, squirl. It was good that it passed low for you. It appears that it is carrying a small fish.

Very Nice Rocky! Great angle. I've beentrying for an Eagle that hangs out at the North Point Light houseon theWashington coast. You can get the same eye levelperspective but with the trees, coastal rocks and surf in the background. Should make for a nice picture. As you know morning light is rare on the pacific coast due to the marine fog and overcast skys....

Good spotting, VP - a small fish to feed a small chick? Squril, is there a nest nearby? nice shots -- good thing you are fast on the draw!
