Well believe it or not I ended up on the rockslide again today. I only have a few days left of summer holidays so I took advantage of another beautiful day and went to the mountains. It was quite hot so it was tough to find the Pikas - they must have been trying to stay cool under the rocks. On the way home I saw my 16th and 17th bears of the summer. Unfortunately they were too far away for a clean shot.

Thanks for looking.

Jim

 Love em! The last two remind me of a scene from the "Lion King". Rock Rabbit, style.

Too funny.

Beautiful shots Jim! Precious really. Gosh these little guys are so friggin' cute! Great shots as usual.

Sorry to hear your holidays are coming to an end. We also have lots of bears around here this year. I haven't seen any, but they're becoming a real nuisance in some neighborhoods. A black bear actually attacked a lady who was in her yard doing some gardening last week. She's lucky and in hospital recovering. Another black bear went right through a guys kitchen window to get at some fruit he had on his kitchen counter! These are in residential neighborhoods, so there's a lot of concern. The conservation officers have shot a few of them, and I'm afraid more are going to meet their demise. Bears are great animals, but they don't mix with people.....Don

Thanks Steve and Don. The cool start to July held up the berry crop this year. They are just beginning to ripen now. The attached picture of bear"19" was taken today from the car window under overcast sky.

Stay safe out there!
