Saw this bug killing/eating a wasp. At first I thought it was a horse fly, but the abdomen is to slender. Does anyone out there know what it might be?? The shot was taken in the Nashville, TN area, if that helps.

It's what I suspected and a quick google image search verified. It's an assassin fly or robber fly. I guess they like to kill wasps.
