I was experimenting with the crop of a couple of the juvenile Back-crowned Night Heron shots I took and would like some feed back. Are they too extreme or do they work. You can't hurt my feelings so let me know what you really think.

To me the second one is most appealing.

cool shots steve. another vote for #2. that one gives a nice angular look to the eyes. i would have extended the crop a bit to include the end of the beak.

Hung, I took your advice and altered the crop to include the entire beak.

oh ya baby! i like it. my eyes goes right from its eyes down to the tip of the beak. excellent composition.
