My nephew and a friend and I went on a photo outing with the Sac. refuge manager today. He was leading a photography group in association with the local Snow Goose Festival. The day started out overcast but finished up in full sun by noon. Here are a few of the shots from today.

He turned around for us. He actually was quiet calm and we shot pics of him for about 30 minutes. What a good boy.

This is a first year Bald Eagle, as identified by the refuge manager. I new it was a Bald Eagle but I had to ask how he new it was a 1st year. He said that the white feathers, especially on the underside were the give away. You will be able to see the underside a few pics down the road.
