Default Droplet

Swan shots don't usually inspire me but I was pleasantly surprised when I viewed this one to find a little drop of water at the end of its beak! I took the shot not long before the sun was down, the water on the Loch was beautiful. I think it adds to the image? Do you like the crop? I though this was effective for drawing attention to the drop at the end of the neck curve. I also gave it a slight soft focus in Photoshop.

Thanks for your comments
Martin Paul.

It also seems to be that its head is slightly cocked towards you, making is seem that the swan is actually looking at you (and us, the viewer.)

Nice shot.

I like this shot, but I would like it more with a little more light around the eye and upper bill.

You actually softened it? It looks sharp to me!

great detail! I like the waterdrop at the swan's trap.
I like the softness in the background. I guess that's what you edited? Because the rest looks just wonderful sharp.

I just love the passive doll eyes that were captured here.

Get shot and nice edit. I also think that a liitle lighting on the front of the head would have made the picture a little more appealing. You might try in Photoshop to see if you like it.

Still, it is a very good picture just as it is.

Regards,
Carl
