That's Easter Monday, not Eastern Monday

After a good day in the field, I headed home via a small rural road, driving slowly and looking up at the trees for more avian subjects. I almost missed these deer that were grazing in a field just off my left, about 50 yards from theside of the road. I stopped the car and opened my window and then reachedfor my camera on the passenger seat next to me. As I turned toward the window, I accidentally bumped my car horn with my elbow and that's when the fun began. These photos were taken at hign noonwith harsh sunlight - no quality to speak of (or intended).

1. OK, I've been spotted - it heard the beep of my horn and is getting underway.

The next shots were taken through the windshield of my car, as by then I had lost sight of the deer in the fieldbut had an idea they might pop up further ahead.

4. Sure enough, there they are!

There have been plenty of pictures of deer standing around, but few if any like these. These are great studies in motion. That last one is something else again. So even though you blew it (the horn) I wouldn't say you blew it (the opportunity)

It is nice to see some movement in photos posted other than flying birds.

Thanks Penolta and Tom. I was surprised thatmy camera was able to focus through the windshield. The deer aremoving around quite a bit as spring evolves. Cheers, Dan
