Default Lawn Crane

After I mow the lawn the Sandhill Cranes come to capture insects in the short grass and here is one from this morning I took on my way out the door.

A sureal image. I love it!!

If I have a criticism, it's that you should leave more room in the direction the bird is facing.

How does this one work for you leaving more space for the bird to walk onto?

Nice shot Tom. Which lens did you use?

Yes, it does work for me. And a shame that you lose some color and shadow by posting it on the net.

Hi Don, my old standby, the FA* 300mm on the K10, my K20 doesn't like that lens very well for some reason.

Yes shrinking the image down for the net does take a toll on the image quality, but what can you do!

Really terrific shots. I love Sandhills. They should be showing up here pretty soon. I wish I could get as close as you did.
Cheers, Steve
