Default Help with an ID

Anybody have any idea what this could be? First time at the feeder. I had to clone out a branch so you could get an idea of it's face and beak.

Interesting. And I will go as far as to say with 100 percent assurance that this IS a bird, and my answer will not force to me once again eat crow.

If no one responds, would you mind if I posted it over at Bird Forum? They're a useful resource for these questions, and you might even want to join just to get answers (usually within an hour or two)

It looks like a juvenal Gray Jay but its not indigenous to Kentucky but rather the spruce and fir forests of Canada.

So far I've gotten one reply, and it makes "sense."

Why does it make sense? Beats me. But the beak is definitely right for a Cowbird, typical of these birds. I've got plenty of shots of the adults (Boo, hiss, boo).

When someone makes a wrong i.d., it's corrected before you blink, so I'll buy it. I'll post again after a day.

Well the people at Bird Forum know their birds. Looking at pics of both the only difference I can see between them and your shot of the bird is the range they cover. So I'd have to agree with Cow Bird since it goes all the way down to Mexico.

Yup.... I agree. And, since I've had plenty of cowbirds around, it would make sense. The head color kind and the lighter shades scattered about threw me off.

I've had only one additional comment, and that is that the "blue" is probably exagerated because of the light. I would say the question is settled in favor of juvenal Cow Bird (Boo, hiss boo). The second reply also stated that their numbers are dropping (Cheers!)
