Default Raccoons prefer dog food!

In an attempt to save the suet for the birds, I put out some dog food at the suggestion of a friend. This pregnant female only took a couple of handfuls of the suet and went right back to the dog food and serenely waddled off after polishing it off. She came at EXACTLY the same time she did night before last. Flashes have no effect on her. She lazily munched dog food while I lit her up with flashes from the E410 and the SP590. Had I known that, I would have turned the garage lights on as it was quite a trick to focus in the dark as you can tell by a few of these.

These two are from the SP590

Dog food is always good in a pinch as a pate.

Well you certainly are helping her fatten up for the winter! Nice series! Will you try again with the garage lights on?

Thanks. Yeah... I'll probably give it a shot this weekend. She gorged herself last night. Dog food AND suet. So.... no more suet for a while. Too bad they don't eat grass
