Default Young Mule Deer Bucks

Young Mule Deer Bucks

The rut is about ready to start so the young bucks are hanging around the does. they will be run off when the big boys show up but right now they think they have a chance. I used both my crow call and my hoochieMama call to get their attention.

1.

2.

3.

4. This is a very nice youngster. Next year he may have his own does.

Thanks Roger for the info. Up here we're seeing more action from our deer pop. They're mostly whitetails, with a few Mule Deers.

Im afraid they will be ending up on the engendered species list. A friend of mine has a head along with antlers mounted and hanging on his wall.

Roger, you spend so much time in really superb habitat, have you ever used predator calls to try for some pics of coyotes, bobcat, if lucky a mountain lion.

I had a few close enough over the years but without a camera.
