Default Songbirds in the Snow (over a dozen phiotos)

After our first significant snowfall of the season (about 5-7 inches), our bird feeders were FULL of activity. So, after much time spent cleaning up from the storm, I had a little time to watch and photograph some "feathered friends" near the feeder. Here are a few samples.

First the cardinals - they always look so bright in the snow!

Titmice were also very busy in the yard, and very inquisitive as well.

The White Throated Sparrows were a bit shier, but still quite photogenic!

And just one more - a Red-Bellied Woodpecker came by just briefly to enjoy a sunflower seed snack.

Hope you enjoyed this glimpse at some of our common East Tennessee songbirds, and hope to see you "out on the trail" someday soon!

Thanks for any suggestions/critique!

(PS - all taken with Pentax K-M and Pentax 135-600mm F6.7 lens)

Very nice indeed. Man! That male Cardinal looks like he's on fire. Beautiful in the snow. I need to visit Tennessee one of these days. I've heard it's beautiful. Cheers
