Default KIF (Kinglet in Flight)

Our Golden-Crowned Kinglets are very busy working in the Eastern Red Cedar trees lately. Very active and hard (for this impatient person) to approach. It took a lot of really bad shots to get a few OK ones. Here's two of my recent favorites:

Ditto. Those little guys NEVER hold still. I'm always tempted to take the Audobon approach...

Closest I've come to taking a shot of one of them flying when one was hopping around on the ground and his feet are in air...

GW - Thanks for saying so. This was with the 70-210 lens, so I had to get pretty close.

Dave - They sure are little bundles of energy. I doubt I could even get one WITH the Audubon method! Do you still have the "feet in the air" shot? Would love to see it.

Yeah, and from now on I'm going to refer to this shot as "Kinglet in flight"
