Default Red-Eared Firetail Finch

Some I took a couple of weeks ago, handheld with a canon 40D and EF100-400L. ISO 500 F 6.3

Come on! Who you kidding? You hand painted a House Sparrow and then took pictures of it.

Yes, it is a pretty little bird - but it also took a skilled photographer to get such fine images! Thanks for sharing!!

Hi aladyforty, great pictures! I really liked 3, 5 and 6 the most... May I ask what lense did you use, and could you venture a estimated guess how far away these birds were? I think you put a lot good time and care in taking these pictures... they are sharp, the colour is great... but the composition, especially with the three I mentioned above, they give me pause to really admire these birds. I really like the one with the head popping out of the basket.. Very well, and along with Goldwinger's words, thanks for sharing them.

Well, thank you too. I'm sure I'm considered partial but, I think they are one of the best touring bikes made. If you're ever up this way be sure to look me up, I'll be more than happy to give you a ride!
