Default White Winged Doves

Formerly limited to South Texas, these robust birds have been spending the warmer months in the Dallas Area. They are a Favorite game bird of Texas wing shooters and are quite tasty, so I'm told.

Wonderful clarity and composition, and excellent use of DOF as well!

The photo was made with a Sony A200 SLR+1.4X teleconverter+500mm f8 Russian reflex lens, If you add in 1.5X for the chip size the total focal length becomes 1050mm @f11. Yes, a tripod was used. If you look closely you will see a very small doughnut in the background caused by the lens design. Thanks for your kind words.

I like this image as well. But in my opinion you handicap yourself with poor processing. With your permission, I will be happy to post my modified version.

I would enjoy seeing my poor processing enhanced by such an expert as yourself.

first off, its a nice pair of birds and pleasingly arranged in the frame.

however it appears to be heavily cropped, and oversharpened. do you have an original we can see for reference?
