Default Snowy Egret, trying to fish...

I've been so busy I haven't been able to get here in a week or two but, wanted to share a few shots with you.

The snowy Egret is one of my favorite birds around here to photograph. Most of the time its way too bright out to get a good exposure and not blow out all the detail. The sun was out this day but, was partly cloudy and I managed to keep the highlights fairly within reason. He put on quite a show trying to ignore us and concentrate on his fishing. I didn't do any color corrections except auto white balance in camera raw and, all the shots were taken with the same settings so, I'm not certain what made the water turn out like it did in different shots.

#1. patiently waiting...

#2. Fire away!

#3. OK... so I missed, want to make something of it!

#4. Maybe if I try a different direction... this is so humiliating...

#5. I can't bear to look at them...

#6. These people are starting to bug me...

#7. I mean really bug me!

Hope you enjoyed them.

Your narration sooooo fits the series.

But you do realize how lucky you are? In NYC this Snowy would have a batch of good lawyers ready to sue at the drop of a minnow.

Thank you guys, I appreciate your comments.
I never know what I'm going to run into at this nature preserve.
I'm expecting a settlement check from my insurance company in a week or two, I'm hoping to get a Canon 5D and a long lens... if I can convince the boss...
