Default Wood Frog

Up hiking at Camp Creek Bald on Saturday, and noticed a lot of egg masses in one of the vernal pools. We had heard the "quacking" calls of Wood Frogs a few weeks ago at lower elevations, but did not know they were up at the balds too.

Careful search turned up one of the frogs, who was patient (because it was so cold) for a series of photos.

Looking forward to returning in a few weeks, to check for the success of the tadpoles!

Thanks for any comments and critique!

Simple - Thanks for your very kind words. Your toad shots are great - don't sell yourself short... These were all taken with a Pentax K-M (same as the Pentax K2000), first shot with Pentax DA 16-45 lens, all the rest with Sigma 105 macro.

GW - Thanks so much!
