Good pictures of a Great Egret - GW must have thought you were in his neighborhood, since Great White Herons (white phase of the Great Blue) occur only in Southern Florida.

Actually that is normal with the panny. The tend to do that sometimes. That is one of the not so nice thing about the panny.

Actually, this is a fine example of a Great Egret. The Great White Heron is a white morph of the Great Blue Heron and is only found in Southern Florida. The Great Egret has the yellow beak and black legs, where as the "Great White" Heron has yellowish-green legs and is somewhat larger.
