Default 7d bif.

This is the first time I have even tried this and may I say I really enjoyed it,
lens used was the EF 70-300 IS DO, ISO 800, AI SERVO also AI SERVO on the 7D ROCKS

Glad you had fun and yes the 7D does a great job doesn't it. If you have not done so you might find you get better AF tracking if you go to custom functions and slow the Ai Servo Sensitivity down (C.Fn III : 1), I currently use the 2nd lowest setting, but found that the first also works well, I can't decide which is best so have switched a few times. I use the same setting on my 1D mkIII. If you have it too high (even the middle setting is too high IMO) then it will flit between subjects and doesn't track smoothly, putting it down has given me a much higher keeper rate.

Now comes the fun part of getting the birds to fly close enough to fill the frame

I like these shots, the last is a good capture.

Thanks Mark, I also use the 2nd lowest setting for AI SERVO I followed this persons set up and works great
