I'm impressed you got so close (or did he get close to you?). If the DOF had been wider so there was more in focus this would have been a stunner.

Hi,

Thanks for the response. I actually liked the DOF being shallow (it wasnt intentional they move so fast!) but i think it gives a little more of the illusion that he just popped up! I had some peanuts and patience...

It can work I agree, but usually the eyes have to be sharp, if you nail this then the rest matters less. As we look at the photo the left eye is just about sharp enough but unfortunately the right eye missed...... don't get me wrong, still a fun photo and really hope you get to try again
