Hi Guys,

Thanks! Yes in Arkansas, Missouri, etc., it's a bit more difficult to see the deer because of the dense wooded areas (I was born in the Ozarks in SE MO) and it the west even though hunting is probably as popular, in some areas like Cimarron, NM they are so plentiful that photographing them is much easier.

Graham, I used the Canon EOS-1D which does have a large buffer and 8 frames per second speed for about 20 frames. These were shot in jpg mode, though I often use RAW depending on what the subject matter is and whether I have a need to print large.
