Another great set of captures, Steve with #5 being a classic.

I'm hoping that I can get a chance at taking some images of an Eagle when I go to Florida this March.

Thanks Zig. I hope you get your opportunity in Florida. And when you do I can't wait to see the pictures. Best of Luck. Steve

Thanks Bob, I appreciate your compliment. Though, I am not sure work is the right word. I was just darn lucky to be in the right place at the right time.

Best wishes for your new year,
Steve

The first two should have made you want to duck! If you did, you would have missed the shots! I know you were far enough away, but through the viewfinder it doesn't always look that way. I once did a TV interview at a Least Tern colony, and the photographer kept ducking as the birds dived towards him, and while they never got close enough to hit him, they looked so close through his viewfinder that he never did get a shot! And an eagle is an awfully lot bigger than a little Least Tern!

FYI the images are gone from your first post in this series, and the link doesn't show the sequence either..

Thanks Pen. While he wasn't really as close as the pictures would suggest he was close enough. What really makes me appreciate thiese shots is the knowledge that if I had been either 5 minutes sooner or later I would have never even seen this Eagle.

I will check the other thread. I think I accidentally deleted the the gallery that I posted them from.
