Took this yesterday on the North East coast England



I've had a look on google but cant find out what's it called maybe one of you can help

Sanderlings' behavior is a dead give away to the identity of these little "beach bums". They characteristically chase after waves, looking for crustaceans exposed by the retreating water, and then racing back up in front of the next advancing one, only to repeat the process as the wave ebbs away.
