Default Female Northern Harrier

Spotted the Harrier in the open.



I thought she would fly away from me, but she flew right towards me!


About 5 min later she came right back past me the other direction.

Excellent shots Kev...The gold tone to the first one is really nice...The BIF shots are excellent and the eye contact is as if she is watching every move you make...

Thanks! I didn't realize how annoyed she was with me until got home to see the pictures. I defiantly got a stare down!

I don't know if this is some type of mating dance, or if they where just fighting over food.

Great pictures! I once had a little tiny swallow dive bombing me because I was close to one of her little ones. Maybe your harrier had a nest in the area?
I like pic #2 the best, but I also really like the shot with two birds. That is the one that makes me wish I could fly. Looks like fun!
