First shot is really nice...As many Canadian's that are around, it's hard to get them to look good in a photo, but your dof and the low angle of this shot as well as the ripples
on the water make it a definite winner....Excellent

Your second shot does have an interesting looking goose as your subject...Don't know my geese other than the Canadian but the all white is cool....To bad you have all the reflections from the water or solar flare in the shot...I think there are to many in all the wrong places to edit them out as well...Now you will just have to go back and re shoot...Geese, have to go back out and play with the camera...O my...hahahaha

Those solar flares are leaves John. I was up on the bank shooting through the trees and brush waiting for him to enter a spot that was somewhat clear of debris. Using Spot focusing I was able to focus on him and not have the camera pick up the leaves instead.

That's the first thing I noticed as well. The deep green of the water makes the shot that much more appealing.
