Default Nesting eagle

Attended a Mother's Day picnic at some friends' house and found out to my great delight that there was a eagle's nest just ten minutes from my house. Needless to say there are more photos to come. The location of the nest does make me wish for more mm's though...like 200 more. This shot was taken at 300 mm and cropped.

What a treat to see on Mothers Day UM...Heck, any day seeing a nesting Eagle is a treat...I have been following a pair for a few months and I know how hard it is to get close enough to get that "WoW" shot....Having to crop so heavy really hurts the shot but at least you have seen something most people don't get to see...Thanks for posting...

Nice shot. It's situations like this that just make you want more and more reach
