I second that - absolutely superb.

These small Pannys are better cameras than their size and weight would imply. The active little Allen's Hummingbirds hardly hover in one place long enough for you to find and focus. I caught this one with the FZ18 some time ago ago when it was perched:

Thanks penolta, and LOVE your shots! I capture similar ones when it was a bit cooler and they would stay on their perch:

Very nice, Saly - the Allen's are great. However, while it may be the weak light, the color of the first ones looks to me more like Costa's than Anna's?

Thanks, I'm pretty sure this was an Anna's. Costa's are more purple/blue (and rare where I am, never seen one!). Anna's are more pink and orange. These may be slightly better....different camera (GF1)

Yes, much better - you can see the reddish reflections, and Costa's wouldn't show that much green below. In the Panasonic images the gorget looked blueish on my monitor, and the belly was too dark to judge color. Thanks for the better images.
