Default Missed my DOF

I was out shooting some mountain bluebirds the other day and missed a good shot. If you look closely at the first one, my focal length is right between the two birds. They only stopped for a moment there and this was my only shot with them so close together. She has a black cricket in her mouth and he has a couple grubs or something like that. I am pleased with the other shot of the male with the snow capped mountian in the background.
Thanks for looking,
soup

Agreed, the second shot is a winner. Such a beautiful bird.

#2 has certainly done justice to this pretty bird.

#2 was very nice. If possible, stop down your lens using aperture mode to f11 or f16 and use higher ISO numbers to keep shutter speed faster. Noise is always better than blur when there is a choice between the two evils.

Thanks for the nice comments Saly, Banksy, and Streets. Also thanks for the advice. I am always happy to learn. Your comments are appreciated. I will post a couple more of my good shots of these birds when I get the chance.
Cheers!
