Default Beep Beep

My house is on the lunch route for this young Road Runner and more often his momma. They come through semi-regularly at midday for about 5min and scour my back porch for bugs, mice, and once even a snake. This is the first time i've actually been able to catch a decent pic of one running.

Great shot. I've never seen a "real" roadrunner either.

Here are a couple from last year. They are fascinating birds, they have alot of character and they seem very intelligent. They tend to cover alot of ground so they only hang around the area for a few minutes each day. 95% of the time I never know they come by. This one got on my roof and was looking at me down on the back porch. The other is probably my favorite picture ever that I wish I had another shot at.

I used to see a few regularly in my yard 25 years ago, but they have since disappeared. Enjoy then while you can. Wonderful shots. We still have lots of Wile E's, though!!
