Great shots and thoughts.

How in the heck did you get the flying fish? Was there a school boiling at the surface?

Yes - I learned from the birds... and looked for the vibes on the water to time it: The Art of Fishing

Love the first shot particularly, NHL. The angle of the wings and 'projectile' feeling is very powerful.

I can imagine many a keen fisherman (or fisherwoman) would be so tempted by your last shot... and feel the 'call' to head out fishing!

There's something peculiar too - sometime the seagulls follow the pelican arc down for the dive:

Not peculiar at all - if the pelican dives into a school of small fish, some will be stunned or disoriented by the Pellican's impact, and be easy picking at the surface for the gulls. I have seen this many, many times.

Nice catch with the leaping Mullet - not easy to get as well as you did.

Thanks for the info

Sometime the gulls also use the Pelican as a perch after they landed for surveying the impacted area... I need to capture this for you guys!
