Default Dragonfly- Beaverpond Baskettail (Epitheca canis)

There weren't that many unique waterfowl at the refuge yet so I snapped a few shots of this dragonfly in the parking lot. I was lucky enough that this one landed briefly and allowed my to get off a few shots. The minimum focus of my 200-400mm vr is about 3 meters and hand holding this 9 lbs beast (including the camera) was quite the challenge.

That's fantastic, the bokeh in #1 is so gorgeous I noticed it before I noticed the dfly. The colors on the dfly are nice in #2 but I think the composition of #1 works for a great pic
