I see you're down in Florida. IF you're ever on Marco Island, spend a couple days at the Lakeside Inn - a small hotel that is nearby all the bigger ones. Small but clean pool with a tree at one side that drops fruit that you do NOT want to get on your skin! A big iguana was hanging on to a tree only about 50 feet away.

I stayed there a half-dozen years ago for a nephew's wedding nearby.

Behind the hotel is a pond, not a lake, size-wize. But there are eagles there - golden eagles were mostly what I saw, and a couple ospreys, and some loons. The eagles were totally oblivious to my presence as they dive-bombed for fish, and tried to steal fish from each other. Anyone with a decent telephoto (which I did not have with me) lens could get some great shots there.

Bald or Balde was the olde English word for white.
Prolly in use back in the 1600's when these great birds were first seen by the English.

Excellent shots Mugmar.
