Default Hummer Bathing

I was walking along a creek at the botanical garden today looking for birds and this guy flew by and started bathing! I've never seen one do that before. He was too far for my camera but I thought he was very cute.

Very cool...it is unusual to see a Hummer perched, let alone in water.

Thanks Wingman, fortunately there are lots of hummingbirds where I live but I had never seen one bathing before (and I have a birdbath in my yard!).

This was shot in my backyard, there are at least 4 perched in the tree, maybe more...

I love these little birds, such a pity we don't have them here!

Hi Saly

I'm so jealous, I don't have any hummingbirds here in South Australia... but it's great that you could capture one bathing, and share with us.

Were it's wings flapping the WHOLE time, or did it eventually 'just stand / sit' on or in the water?

Thanks.

Paul

Nice shot Saly. I think by being back a bit you showed the whole scene, I like it.
