Default Willett landing

I believe the bird in the following photo is a Willett, but, not 100% sure.
The reason for the uncertainty is that there are a number or different birds, here in Marco Island that are quite similar
Anyways, this particular bird has a beautiful underwing and I've had a devil of a time trying to catch one flying in for a landing.

Finally, today, I had my 1st opportunity.

Beautiful capture, the details are great but the colors are particularly exquisite.

Hey Steven,
Thanks for looking and commenting. As always, much appreciated

Good morning Saly,

Thank you. I do agree, what stands out for me in this image is the color.

Zig

Default Willet?

Really neat photo!!

I too think it's a Willet. Next month the wing will be black & white, not brown & white. I think he did not reach breeding color yet, which is what we are most use to seeing.
