Hi Dick

What a cute little squirrel. I like all 3 photos of it, but my favourite is the last one. (It seems the sharpest eg the squirrel eyes in photo #3, seem slightly oof / soft). I like the side profile composition of photo 3 best. I like how you wrote 'critters' - that sounds liks something I've heard on few US cartoons or US TV programs many years ago. (We don't use that word much here in Australia).

Regarding the last squirrel photo... just a shame that more of the body wasn't captured... and there is too much 'space' above its head). I think a crop could help, or a different initial composition have been because better... but I guess it's hard if the squirrel was moving around.

I've seen squirrels in London, UK - particularly in the big parks of the city. We don't have any where I live in Australia.

What bird is that? I've seen it before (in photos)... but have forgotten its name. It's a good capture (perhaps could do with a bit more exposure eg 1/3EV or 2/3EV, to bring out the details in the dark feathers).

If I may suggest something... perhaps use a slight touch of noise removal which would make your backgrounds smoother (there are various good software packages that can do a good job). Which lens or lenses did you use to capture these photos?

Thanks for sharing the 'critters' from your side of the world with us.

Regards

Paul

Really like the reflection in the eye in the last shot. Cute little squirrel.
